Counterspell says “Attach to your hero.” If I draw Counterspell while in alter-ego form, what happens?

Answer

Counterspell attempts to attach to your hero but cannot. Because it is unable to meet its condition, simply discard it. (Do not reveal a new encounter card in its place.) R ENCE
