Question
66 – About the new “assault” keyword Following allies might have strange interaction when they make a basic thwart on a scheme with the assault keyword:
– Hulk (does his forced response trigger?)
– Havok(does his forced interrupt trigger?)
– Wonder Man (must i discard a card from my hand as additional cost ?)
– Bishop (can he activate his interrupt to boost his ATK value?)
– Daredevil: Matt Murdock (can he activate his response to deal a damage to an enemy?)
Answer
- When thwarting schemes with the Assault keyword, the character thwarting is considered to have made a thwart, not an attack. In other words, a character follows all the steps for a thwart, but uses the number above their ATK (and any modifiers to ATK) when determining how much threat to remove.
- Hulk, Wonder Man, and Bishop do not resolve their abilities when thwarting a scheme with Assault.
- Daredevil: Matt Murdock will resolve his ability when thwarting a scheme with Assault, dealing 1 damage to an enemy.
