Question
I have two questions regarding the Age of Apocalypse campaign. 1. What happens if I discard Digging Deep when making a mission attempt? 2. When setup for the Apocalypse scenario game, if Overseer Mister Sinister and The Shadow King have been removed from the campaign, which minions will be randomly revealed during the setup of The Age of Apocalypse main scheme? If The Age of Apocalypse main scheme reveals Prelate Abyss, what are the available minions for the campaign setup?
Answer
- Discarding Digging Deep for a mission attempt gives you the option to trigger its Response. If you do add it to your hand this way, it cannot then be used for the mission attempt, and you do not discard a new card in its place.
- Even if the Overseer version of a minion has been crossed out of the campaign log, the Prelate version of that minion is still available to be used in the Age of Apocalypse scenario. (It’s not necessarily “removed from the campaign”, it’s moreso made unavailable for future mission attempts.) When setting up the scenario, you’ll first set aside all 5 Prelate minions via the main scheme, reveal 1 of those at random (in your example, Abyss), then follow the campaign instructions to randomly select an available Overseer minion to use in the mission area (either Sugar Man or Mikhail Rasputin). Any remaining minions will be used throughout the scenario, on their Prelate side.
